Kyle Cooper has done over 100 move title sequences in his career. He believes that a good title sequence should set an expectation for the audience. If it does so at the beginning then it already engages the audience even before the film starts. Kyle also believes that you need to be careful with the typography as it needs to relate to the sequence, this is important and clever if done correctly as it gets the audience half understanding what the movie will be about before the movie actually starts.
Kyle cooper also believes a good title sequence can go smoothly into the film. As mentioned before the title sequence should give a slight back ground story of feel to what the film should be about hence why making sure it runs smoothly into the film is important. Being its the " introduction " to the film and not a title sequence for a separate film there should be no reason for a harsh transaction.
