Prelim evaluation:
When doing the Prelim it was my first time putting my skills to the test. I learnt how to set up the camera correctly and I also learnt about the 180 degree rule where you cant cross the axis of action. I also developed other skills like learning how to match cut, shot reverse shot and used different shots to show what I had learned. Sticking to the 180 degree rule showed me the importance of filming and the audiences perspective, when you break the 180 degree rule the position of where the characters are placed flips and confuses the audience.
What I thought went really well for me was filming and script writing. There is room for improvement on editing although for my first time I did a decent job. When filming the next prelim to improve we could find a bigger filming space and also before getting the content we actually need in we could do a countdown so the clip is not to rushed in to, this will also come in handy when editing. We also never had enough time to reduce the volume of the background music during the prelim which is anther way in which we can improve. All in all the first prelim was a success.
