Analysis of two film title sequences

Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol 2011
The title sequence for this film was interesting as it goes through all the main actors in the film showing the type of role they play within the film. The fact that the sequence goes along the fuse makes the film look as if its full of adrenaline and action, allowing the audience to get an overview of what type of action goes on later on in the film. The effect that was used for the 'mission: impossible' highlights the actual title of the film allowing the audience to engage. A smoke effect was used for the 'ghost protocol' to make it seem like a mystery or somewhat 'ghostly'. Also the music that played with it went really well.

Godzilla 2014
The start of this sequence was of the productions associated with the film. The sequence went along with a timeline of what leads up to what the film will be about, it gives the audience a clear idea and understanding of the storyline being used. The text used was simple, blanking out the words that you don't need to read whilst only leaving the main info of the production. I think this a good title sequence as it engages the audience with dramatic music along with a brief storyline letting the audience know how it all came together through the history.
