It has been a long ride but i know that we enjoyed the process of planning, filming and editing. We have learnt so much and hopefully what we achieve will reflect our hard work!
Overall we couldn't have asked our sequence to turn out any better, so with that being said...
Its Goodbye from Group 6 and we hope you enjoyed our project!

Blogging health check 2.

On my blogging health check 2 I got good strengths and some constructive criticisms. The reason why I wasn't able to improve my grade since the last blogging health check is because I was focused on filming and editing for our film opening however I know the deadline is next week nd now it is finished I will make improvements.

Types of film openings
The media have a variety of film openings they use to create a unique effect on each film. There are 4 different openings:
Titles over a blank screen
Titles over a blank screen is the most known type of film opening due to it being cheap yet still effective. In many movies this simplicity often makes the film more effective and intriguing than having a complex film opening which is more expensive.
An example of this is in the opening of the film Psycho where white text is displayed over a black background.
Titles on still images
Titles on still images are more elaborate but incorporate their text with a visual image. It requires a combination of different media to make the background.
An example of this is the 1981 film "The day the earth stood still"
Titles on moving images
Titles on moving images incorporate the titles with the moving image, sound and usually no dialogue. This way of using titles can create good metaphors and helps to introduce the tone and the storyline.
An example of this title would be Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window"
Titles using animation or motion
Titles using animation or motion became popular in the late 90s when technology began to rise. Titles became apart of a moving image and were much more stylized due to digital technology.
An example of this would be "Casino Royal"

Updated StoryBoard
These are images of or updated story board. After a reflection and some feedback from our rough cut, we decided that a few things in our sequence needed to be changed for example the order and the titles.

Pitch Evaluation
Our pitch was very informative and we did have a lot of good feedback. However we do agree that we do need to make some improvements on the actual pitch and the way we were presenting ourselves.
- Speak loud and clear
- No fidgeting
- Be professional
- Complete all the tasks given before we pitch
- Check for any spelling mistakes
Evidence of filming and evaluation.
This day we had a very successful day of filming. We were able to get all the shots we needed although that day it was freezing cold. We were able to film the whole kidnapping scene and the part where the victim is on her way to the party. Everyone took turns with filming and we all took the opportunity to use the equipment and film using different shots. We filmed in the afternoon so we were very aware that the sun set was about to happen which would affect the lighting in the shot.

Editing in Action
Today we focused on more editing and synchronized the sound and effects so it moves smoothly.
We went onto a website called Jamando ( https://www.jamendo.com/start) and were able to accumulate some copyright free sound effects and music to add to our title sequence.
Some of the sound effects we used include

Some of the sound effects we used include
- An eery noise to go along with the kidnapping
- We started to look for a real life scream to add to our sequence
